The newly opened trekking route in Lower Khumbu region is Pikey Peak trek, which takes us to the tallest hills of Solu region. This trek is famous for spectacular sunshine and sunset views over Mt. Everest, Makalu and Annapurna. The trek is termed “Pikey” after the Sherpa clan deity and during the month of July, local villagers conduct great celebrations dedicated to their clan god, the eastern Chyabo Pikey, as Pikey Hlapchen Karbu in the celebrations.The trail passes through beautiful settlements areas, verdant forest and lush vegetation as well as encounter ancient Buddhist Monastery of Thupten Chholing as well as enjoy the unique Sherpa culture.
